Originally from China, Mengyue met Kevin at the University of Minnesota before they moved to California. Dreaming of a wedding in the Redwoods, they brought the lush, magical forest to Aria. In Mengyue’s petite bouquet of soft-hued flowers, the florist incorporated a few unexpected, delicate wooden flowers for an extra touch of whimsy. Upon entering the forest-inspired space, guests marveled at the stunning greenery and twinkling light installation hanging from above, personifying a gorgeous weeping willow tree on a starry night. Extraordinary floral arrangements were placed at the end of each row of chairs, guiding the eye toward an exquisite asymmetrical arbor of climbing florals and branches. Lush patches of moss mixed with florals and candles created a unique guest table design. With Kevin’s tan pinstripe suit and Mengyue’s gold-accented dress, they turned heads during their choreographed first dance. Mengyue’s parents traveled all the way from China, offering hand-crafted gift boxes as guest favors—a token of their love and support for Mengyue and Kevin. Their wedding will be remembered as an unimaginable experience set in an enchanted forest.
