After a year of navigating through loss, Ashley & Matt grew closer together. Ashley cherished her simply chic dress with lace paneling down the back because her mom was the only one who had seen it before her unexpected passing. She accessorized the dress with European-made statement earrings featuring flowers made out of fabric. Ashley chose to enter the room arm-in-arm with her dad and invited her stepdad to walk with them the rest of the way down the aisle. A lifelong lover of trains, Ashley’s mom was there in spirit as the sound of trains was heard during their moment of silence, leaving every guest misty-eyed. Incorporating Ashley’s grandma’s love for calla lilies into the design, The Whim was transformed into a modern yet timeless design, complete with a floral-accented black geometric arbor and laser-cut nameplates for each guest. Seated at the large head table featuring candle votives, a blush textured floral runner, and ivory linens, the couple relaxed into natural conversation with their wedding party. After treating their guests to their favorite ice cream—enjoyed with a personalized spoon designed with their last name and wedding date—they danced the night away.
